Is there a minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All women ages 15+ are welcomed.
What does the retreat include and what are the accommodations like?
Your stay includes lunch & dinner on day one and breakfast & lunch on day two as well as snacks, coffee / tea. Guests stay in several cabins on the property each with 3-4 individual beds (some twin/ some double). Relax on a sandy beach at the edge of the semi-private lake: Petit Lac Usher. Practice yoga on Stand Up Paddle Boards, or take a tour in a canoe. Lush gardens include a Zen Garden and Walking Meditation Garden. There are many walking/hiking trails to explore and peaceful hideaways to discover!
The lacto-ovo Vegetarian Cafe is fueled by Gaia’s organic vegetable garden as well as local organic farms. We eat well to be well. Their delicious and nutritious meals will ensure you glow from the inside out!
I’ve never done ART or YOGA...can I still participate?
You do not need prior experience in any of the areas covered by the retreat. Your facilitators are experts at pacing the workshops to meet the varied needs of participants of all levels. The weekend fosters a non-competitive environment build on shared experiences and customized guided lessons.
What’s Yin Yoga?
Yin yoga is a passive practice that involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, to target deeper layers of connective tissue.
Who can benefit from Yin Yoga?
Everyone - from the athlete to elderly, those who experience daily stress or who live a sedentary lifestyle.
What can Yin Yoga teach us?
Yin yoga can teach us how to listen, accept and let go of resisting experiences. It can also help us align our attention, intentions and actions and to develop a sense of comfort with the uncomfortable.
Yogassage is a merging of yoga and massage. Light touch with essential oils will help support relaxation during your practice.
What are essential oils?
Essential oils are naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be used topically or internally (doTerra) to help support emotional and physical wellness.
What’s the Art of Expression?
The Art of Expression is a modality that helps promote and facilitate everyone’s unique creative voice through multidisciplinary approaches. Expect poetry/creative writing, performance, body movement/dance, yin yoga, aromatherapy, food, craftsmanship and group discussion to bring out the creativity in you.

Crystal will supply watercolours, paper, brushes, pencils and erasers (but feel free to bring your own
watercolour pads, palettes, brushes & pencil sets).

YOGA & Movement:
The yoga studio comes fully equipped with mats, blocks, blankets and meditation cushions, however you
are welcomed to bring your own items.

Comfortable, stretchy clothing and a water bottle.
