At Gaia Wellness we strive to make sure each guest is as comfortable as they can be. Below is a number of the most common questions we are asked. If your question is not here please email us at and we will be happy to help you prepare for your stay with us.

  • Are there kitchens and bathrooms in the cabins?

None of our cabins offer a bathroom but our clean, environmentally friendly Honey Pot Outhouses are convenietly located near by. Guests also have 24 hour access to the washrooms in the main lodge. Guests can also access the kitchen in the main lodge and if you are staying in our B&B, we will provide you with a shelf in the fridge to store your food. The only cabin that offers a kitchenette is our Samadhi cabin, but it does not have running water at this time.

  • I am very interested in attending one of your retreats but unfortunately I can't afford full price.

We believe everyone should be able to take time for themselves and restore their minds, bodies and souls. This includes anyone experiencing financial difficulty.

Please fill out our Scholarship Application and email it to Billie She will review your application and get in touch with you to discuss things further.

  • Are you close to a ski resort?

Yes, if you go to our Tourist Attractions Page you will find all the information on local ski resorts + other things to do in the area. Also we are located in the heart of the Gatineau's, where there is always an outdoor activity available to enjoy :)

  • Are the beds comfortable?

Oh yes!! All of our beds are either brand new or newer matresses and we find them all super comfy. If you have an illness or disability that requires you to sleep on a very comfortable mattress, we have you covered also with a number of fantastic beds.

  • Can we bring alcohol?

B&B - Yes we allow guests to bring alcohol. We just ask you to be respectful of other guests who may be wanting to have a quiet experience.

Group Rentals - If you are attending a retreat it will be up to your facilitator to decide if alcohol is welcome at the retreat. Please respect their requests of you.

Corporate Rentals - As part of the mindful experience we are hoping to provide you during your stay with us we recommend that you choose to skip the alcohol during your retreat and instead spend the time here connecting with yourself and your team.

Weddings and Events - This will be listed on the Wedding Invitation or Event Advertisment

And hey listen you really won't need the extra 'buzz" while your here. The property naturally calls you to a peaceful state of contemplation that you won't want to alter in any way. We gaurantee it!

Yes absolutely! We take pride in offering our guests the most comfortable retreat from the busyness of their everyday lives and in order to do this we keep all buildings (with the exception of 1 cabin) pet-free & hypoallergenic.  Food allergies are always accomodated. Please make sure to let your retreat leader or our cook John know of any food restrictions or requests well in advance. For very special diets we may require a $25 supplement to cover the additional costs for a weekend retreat. You can email our cook John Armstrong to discuss any questions related to the catering for your stay

Yes of course you may extend your stay prior to or following a retreat. We recommend emailing to discuss your request.
  • How far in advance should I reserve for a retreat?

If there is a retreat being offered that you would like to participate in, we reccomend booking as soon as possible to gaurantee your spot. If you are a facilitator wanting to reserve dates for a retreat or you are planning a wedding or event, we recomend booking 6 months to a year in advance. However as we have only just opened the facility in July 2017, there are many dates still available. These are being booked up fast though so if there is a date that you would like to gaurantee please book well in advance.
  • Are private rooms available for a single person or couple?

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer private accomodations for singles and couples during retreats. However we hope to offer private accomodations for the summer of 2018. If your renting a cabin through our B&B - you will be gauranteed privacy.
